THANK YOU for any further help figuring this out. is there some way to make my archived email available on another computer if i wanted to access or search it? i mean, do i concert it to some format, put it on an external drive and then somehow access it from my laptop somehow? if i just want to keep 2019 mail in my IMAP accounts - do i /manually/ move all my mail to the On My Mac section of Mac Mail? You can then simply copy and paste from your Mac. You can plug in the device where you want to store the extra copy of your archives. It allows you to simply copy your Thunderbird mail archives to the device of your choice. then i import these converted files to Mac Mail and i organize this ARCHIVED EMAIL in the On My Mac section of mail so it is effectively archived? i mean is this the method of “archiving” email in Mac Mail or are there other ways to archive email in Mac Mail? Mail Backup X gives you the option of storing your Thunderbird archives in two different ways.am i using emailchemy to CONVERT the TB profiles to Mail format, putting those on the desktop, and then IMPORTING these conversions to Mac Mail? this would be instead of using the export / import plugin for TB and then /renaming/ the file type and then importing these files into Mac Mail? what is the advantage to this approach?.i can’t imagine i put anything like this on the laptop.Īnyway, i ALSO have four “Profiles” from Thunderbird in thunderbird on the mac. i also (i guess) have “on my mac” mail ONLY (?!) on my mac pro. I have multiple email “accounts” (meaning email addresses) in mac mail. Can i please ask about the workflow here?
